Thanks for this, was much needed… almost perfect… Works great when they code the site properly, but some do not use title tags etc, and thus limits the selections…I’d like to be able to select a range of text and or combo of text with hyperlinks that may be constant on the site to block… perhaps just text that says advertisement, or some adult text adverts or whatever… all so annoying and can’t choose it currently since its just a table, td, or tr tag etc
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Unfortunately you cannot do more you can do with CSS. So selecting text ranges or similar is not possible.

Done: http://hg.mozdev.org/adblockplus/rev/ed01c4bebfbc. Next development build will work fine. Note that I wouldn’t understand the issue from this comment – luckily I’ve seen it reported in the forum already.

is there “Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper” for k-meleon as easy as firefox Element Hiding Helper?
where could i get that?
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
No but it wouldn’t be too hard to add it (patches accepted). The real problem is that K-Meleon is stuck with Gecko 1.8 – it cannot even be supported by current Adblock Plus versions.

Hello. Adblock Plus 1.2.0+.2010050102 does not work with version Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper 1.0.6+.2010031802. Is’t a known issue and reported (A dialog box appears indicating the incompatibility…) ? Thank you very much. I hope a version of Adblock Plus that includes Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper, in order to reduce the file size of the folder add-ons. And i realize that Adblock Plus: Element Hiding Helper is ESSENTIAL to me :-) ( Yes, the same Fred = http://adblockplus.org/releases/element-hiding-helper-106-released#c002680 ). Sorry for my english, i’m french.
