Please use our bug reports forum (registration not required) and provide some details – like the particular website and image you are trying this on. I cannot see any issue here.

After update, all website i enter shows ads & it’s really annoying. I don’t know what happen with this update
I’m using Firefox 9.0. please fix this. I really enjoy this add-on before update

We will be fixing this with the release tomorrow – but please update to a current Firefox version. Firefox 9 isn’t safe to use, tons of known security issues: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html

Hi. The filters I select don’t seem to be saved between Firefox sessions. I’ll select a set of filters, do some browsing (without ads), close Firefox, then the next time I open Firefox, the ads will be back, and I’ll have to select the filters again. Is there something I can do to make sure my filter settings are saved, or will this issue be fixed in tomorrow’s release?
(Firefox 12, MacOs 10.6.8, Fanboy’s filter list)
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Yes. But you should seriously consider updating your browser – Firefox 12 is very outdated.

Hi, I have similar issue as mentioned previous comments. The adblock plus filer list become empty (I had a huge own created list, which is lost now!) and the new entries not saved between sessions. This is huge bug and have to be fix immediately, also till it not fixed the version 2.2 should be revoke! (Firefox 10 ESR)
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
It is already “revoked” in the sense that it won’t install in outdated Firefox versions any more. And new version is already released and awaits Mozilla’s approval. There is nothing lost - if you didn't try to change the filters after updating then everything will be back after update to Firefox 2.2.1. And if you did you can still restore from automatic backup.

I had Adblock plus installed at one time but it ‘disappeared’ for some reason while I was adding (and working with)filter subscriptions. I have not been able to reinstall it. I get “Adblock Plus could not be installed because Firefox cannot modify the needed file.” My platform is Win 7 and Firefox is version 17.0.1 [Yahoo edition 1.17]
I uninstalled and reinstalled the Firefox with no effect.
Can you help me figure out what needs to be done?

Sounds like a file permissions issue – but a blog post is the wrong place to discuss the details, want to come to the forum instead? You don’t need to register there.
