Install Adblock Plus for Android

If you already have Adblock Plus for Android, it should notify you about the update shortly and download it automatically.

The major change in this release is under the hood: We’re now using libadblockplus, the same library powering ABP for Internet Explorer, instead of the custom integration of outdated ABP core code we had before.

This allowed us to implement Acceptable Ads in Android, and it’ll allow us to implement other missing features such as domain-based whitelisting in the near future. Note that element hiding is still disabled, so as with the last few versions, you might see some ads that are not acceptable. We’re working on this.

Finally, ABP for Android has been translated into 13 additional languages, including Japanese and Italian.

   I accidentally canceled the update notification. How do I get adblock to update itself?

   You can either wait, it’ll try again in a few hours, or just download and install manually, will update just fine.

   Adblock plus is working fine after the update on wifi but i am not getting any internet when i am not on wifi. adblock is saying that it is waiting for traffic on port 2020. I tried multiple websites and all are saying I am not connected to internet.

   Hmm, after updating ABP won’t open anymore on my LG P500. Dunno what could be causing it. A fresh app install doesn’t solve it either.
   My Galaxy S is unaffected though.

   Stopped working after the update in my Asus fonepad JellyBean 4.1 (can’t open the app, it hangs). It was working perfectly with the previous version(s). Where can I safely download the old version? I found legacy versions on unknown sites, but I find it difficult to trust them.

   1. iptables rules don’t seem to work for me: I have to manually set the proxy at WiFi config;
   2. but when the proxy is set, Play Store and Youtube don’t work at all. Is that some trick that Google plays to discourage abp usage?
   This happens with a HYUNDAI T7S tablet.

   , does not work on samsung s3 with using Opera Browser. it crashes hangs and then just closes. the old version works fine the one is just terrible. the OS is the new update to jelly bean. Please give us a safe place to download the old version

   doesnt work for neken. inadequate instructions. it say select proxy then local host but there is nothing like that there
