Thank you and keep up the excellent work! Your work with this top-rated FF extension is really appreciated.

Thank you for the extension! However, it seems that the Filterset.G extension doesn’t work with the update. After downloading Filterset.G, I nevertheless got the message ‘not installed.’ Would you be kind enough to give some advice? Thank you.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

You should update Filterset.G Updater as well.

Thank you for your good extension!

Just one question, do you have any plan to implement the “third-party” ? I have wait it since you mention it.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Yes, I am still planning to implement it. However, the interfaces in Firefox 3 (and potentially later versions of Firefox 2) that are required to support it are in the process of being rewritten. Once this work is done I can make another attempt at this.

Have you read the newest message at Why Firefox is Blocked? It is hilarious.

Yeah the Hitler references when he goes into a rage frenzy at the end are hilarious. Someone seriously needs a reality check. I bet he voted for Bush ;)

The Firefox blocking guy says “defraud web site owners of their rights”. He has no such thing beyond his copy rights (ie, the ability to control distribution of his property). The integrity of a web site’s design is meaningless because the user and user agent can change and vary its display.

Speaking of which, he seems to have resorted to unreliable user agent sniffing. Did he step out of a time machine from 1997 or what? It may just be me, but now he’s not only cantakerous and mean-spirited: he’s sorta slow.

Mr. Palant, I salute you for what amounts to making the web usable. Real Americans and freedom lovers everywhere salute that spirit. We now return you to your regular marketplace of ideas.

    Erm… upgrading from Thunderbird 1.5 to Thunderbird 1.5? I believe you meant 2.0? :)

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Yes, that’s exactly what I meant. Fixed, thank you.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

That’s a problem with a filter in the EasyList subscription, simply updating it should fix it. Go to Tools / Adblock Plus and press Ctrl+Shift+T in the preferences window.
