Adblock Plus and (a little) more

Blog search sometimes turns up pretty weird hits for “Adblock” — blog entries that have nothing to do with Adblock but contain object tabs similar to those created by Adblock Plus when “Show tabs on Flash and Java” option is on. There is for example this entry that has 15 fake object tabs for the embedded movie. First I thought this was some attempt to trick ad blockers but then I got it – the blog owner has Adblock Plus installed and it added tabs to the objects while the user was writing his blog entry. Those object tabs were then saved along with the HTML code. Which clearly illustrates the hazards of touching web page’s source code — but maybe Adblock Plus should check for editable HTML and refrain from tagging those objects…
