Looks like Adthrawt was changed to Adblock Plus today and in the process I’ve ended up losing all my customs filters! So if anyone hasn’t yet been updated then I suggest you save them before it does.

Oh never mind I’m blind. They’re not displayed in the top box anymore and just the raw text. Carry on :p

Do something with icon! Logo of Adthwart was much better than ABP.

Hi there, I have been using AdThwart for a long time, it was the best add blocker out there, it got the job done fast and never bothered me with anything, but the new Adblock Plus (I know its beta) has a critical flaw, it doesn’t hide adds…in the Options menu I don’t see any filter list checked and when I try to add one (easy list for instance) I get “Not a filter list” hitting update don’t seem to do anything, so I am stuck with adds..

John, please update – version 1.0.23 fixed this issue. Unfortunately, this condition is not too common and wasn’t caught in the preliminary testing.

Sigh* unfortunately it still does the same thing, I cleared everything with CCleaner and with chrome’s clear browsing data, then installed the adblock plus but no results. :(

Does this link work for you at all: https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/easylist.txt? AdThwart was downloading EasyList from the old address, maybe the current location is unreachable for you.

Btw, could we continue in the forum maybe (https://adblockplus.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=10)? That will make having a conversation easier and you don’t need to register to create a topic.

    Problem solved!
Its the reason you said, I couldn’t connect to https://easylist-downloads.adblockplus.org/easylist.txt cause of SSL error, when I tried to enter with my browser I got the message “The site’s security certificate is not trusted!” there was two option “proceed anyway” or “back to safety”, I have chosen proceed anyway and the problem was solved….in the option menu of Adblock Plus was checked by itself the “EasyList by Michael, Ares2, Erunno, Khrin, MonztA’ with me needing to do anything else, thanks for the help and sorry for wasting your time….
