Thank you for creating this and many more thanks for continuing to improve upon it for the benefit of so many. Adblock Plus is the reason why I will not abandon Firefox compared to other great browsers.

I have tried and can never go back to ads and pop-ups. I was finally getting ready to donate some money to you because I’m so thankful for how it has dramatically improved my web browsing experience…until I found your 2006 post about intrinsic and extrinsic motivational conflicts.

If you ever do open up to donations again, I’ll be ready. :)

Hi. I’m a fan of this addon in firefox and like to make a suggestion to launch this addon in Opera-11, With this addon and WOT, It’ll be a very perfect and secured browser!

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Opera developers first need to add a way to block things from extensions, then this can be considered.

There are ways in opera 11. “Ad Sweep” is a kind of ad blocker but they lack many features for user interface and settings. If “Adblock plus” launches in opera 11 extensions/ addons page, then u can beat the “Ad Sweep” and become the best Adblocker in Opera and its users.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

No, there are none. AdSweep is a simple user script that will remove some elements after the fact – but it is unable to actually block any downloads.
