[Bug]Blockable items on current page does not appear
    (I am using adblock plus 1.1.3 & firefox 3.7a1pre.)

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

This is actually a Firefox bug (more specifically, Minefield). I worked around it for now in the development builds but that work-around isn’t included in 1.1.3 release – that release comes from a branch with minimal changes only, I didn’t feel like having a fix there for a problem that will most likely go away “by itself”.

Adblock is not working anymore, since i upgraded my FF from 3.5.4 to 3.5.7 (final).
Can’t get it to work again. Can’t even get to the settings anymore. :(
No more symbol in FF (top right) and all the ads are there.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Sounds like you have Zone Alarm Toolbar installed (see “Known issues” in https://adblockplus.org/en/changelog-1.1.3).

    Hi,

no, no Zone Alarm, no Ask Toolbar installed
I even removed my Skype Web Features 2min. ago
Tried to remove and reinstall Firefox (even 3.5.4 as new install).
The result is all the same: when i click at Adblock Settings, nothing happens (and the add ons window from FF freezes). :(

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Forum should be a better place to discuss this. Could you post there with a full list of your extensions?

    just tried to reinstall Adblock…

    At the installation it said:
Firefox could not install the Add-on from the following adress:

    https://addons.mozilla.org/downloads/file/74835/adblock_plus-1.1.3-fx+sm+tb+fn.xpi?src=api

    Reason: ….unknown error…
    …look at the error console…
    -203

    Error console shows this:
    Error: e.location.getItemLocation(e.id) is undefined
    Sourcefile: file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/MozillaFirefox/components/nsExtensionManager.js
    Zeile: 4116

I think the bug I have been complaining about for the past months is now gone. First time I don’t see it during an installation…

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Definitely not. 1.1.3 has only minimal changes, nothing in the area of subscriptions. I plan to look into the issue you mention again before 1.2 release, didn’t do that yet however.

Firefox 3.6 has been officially released today, January 21. So far, no serious issues with ABP 1.1.3 and FF 3.6.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Issues aren’t really expected – many people are using Adblock Plus with nightly builds including yours truly. Problems are usually reported way before a Firefox release.

I have no blockable items either, and I’m using 1.1.3 on ff 3.6. No other extensions installed.

Sorry, I’m an idiot. Please ignore my post. I had forgotten to change defaultstatusbaraction to 1.

  13. twipley · 2010-01-24 17:46 · #

Well, M. Palant, I can confirm that the issue I’ve been suffering from has left me. If that’s not from your side, then it’s from Mozilla’s (note that I am testing for v3.6, where I have been testing for v3.5 before).

    Farewell,
    twipley

adblock is great and I use it extensively. is there any chance for XPath support in future versions? I need to apply bi0directional rule (hide div, which contains anchor with certain href value) and I have no change to do it using css selectors which are unidirectional. I know that xpath evaluation can be done only once page is fully loaded, but I don’t mind in this case if there is no other way…

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Unlikely. I have yet to see a way to use XPath without severe performance implications.

Will there be an x64-Version of this addon?

Thank you for this great extension!

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

There is a Firefox version already, isn’t that enough? ;)

Adblock Plus isn’t dependent on any system architecture, it runs on Firefox. So as long as you can run Firefox…
