Bonjour,
ABP incompatible avec la version 35.0 de Firefox ?
Re: ABP broken in Firefox 35

Having the same issue. I just updated to 35 and noticed the ABP icon disappeared. I went into customize and it isn’t found. Then went to add-ons which still lists it but all of the preferences check boxes under options are unselected and do not work (nothing happens when checking/unchecking them). Clicking on filter preferences in there also does nothing.
How does one go back to Firefox 34? Or will this be fixed immediately so best to just wait the hours or day until it is?

J’ai exactement le même problème sous Windows XP
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
ABP is definitely compatible with Firefox 35, plenty of people are using it without problems. One issue we are aware of is https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1122204 – you need to go to about:permissions and make sure that you don’t have “Block” configured under “Maintain Offline Storage” for all sites. If that’s not it then there is probably some other Firefox bug we don’t know about yet.

Merci ;)

Translation Google :
Thank you;)
Before the 35.0 update Firefox everything worked.
Access to options is not possible because the ABP icon has disappeared.
When I go to add-ons, nothing appears in ABP options, there are only: – The choice of the update (by default, enabled or disabled) – The last date of update (November 12, 2014) – The home page of ABP – Assessments
I reported the problems to Firefox: – The update for ABP is impossible – A new installation of ABP is impossible – Disappearance of the ABP icon to the left of the URL
On twitter others also have problems operating ABP, but I still do not know the nature of their problems:

I had the exact same problem. I just made dom.indexedDB.enabled true instead of false, restarted and the ABP icon reappeared and everything is working. I’m no techie but I feel that ABP is more important to have enabled rather than the other. Hopefully one day it can be fixed because I never had a problem before I updated Firefox. Wladimir, thanks for all you do. I’m always impressed with your writing on your blog because your honesty and concern always shines through. It’s so hard to trust developers but I know you are one of the good ones.

Hello,
But what about people who DON’T want to let all sites use offline ? It’s crasy this FF35, we have to let all sites installing as they want in our computers ! What about privacy ? And security ?
« Offline Website Data » in the Firefox « Clear All History » don’t clear all of it ; so we have to verify in appdata after every firefox’ use ? Or/and install a specific cleaner programm ? In the gecko forums they always say that a cleaner can make problems with firefox.
And what about all the users who know anything about all of that ?
And it’s not the only one problem with this Firefox35.
I used Firefox since a very long time, but since some years it’s getting worse. And tired of so much hours loosed finding solutions for problemes. And tired to loose confidence more and more. If the firefox 36 don’t repare that, il will be the last time for me.
Thanks for your job, Wladimir.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
You seem to be misinformed. There is nothing special about indexedDB – it’s no different from cookies, it is disabled and cleared using the same mechanisms. There are always plenty of misinformed and misguided articles on any technology, but a special cleaner application is definitely unnecessary. There are also no privacy consequences beyond what you have with cookies.
As I said, this is a bug and it will be fixed in Firefox 36. However, disabling indexedDB isn’t a particularly useful setting and originally people were arguing about removing that setting altogether – with good reason.

I’ve just disabled firefox from updating until such a time as this bug is fixed. It took less than a minute online to remember that I can’t stand to be on the internet without my adblock, ghostery, cookie controller, flash block and auto HD/turn annotations off Youtube add-ons! It’s worth the trade-off in ‘speed,’ especially since for me these days, online speed seems to have less to do with my computer set-up and more to do with my ISP.

i am using firefox 26 the latest and unblock plus the latest..but nothing has been block….please help :(
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Could you maybe come to our forum and provide detailed information there? There is definitely no general problem with Firefox 26 and Adblock Plus so figuring out what it is in your case would be necessary.

As of yesterday I suddenly started getting ads again. I have the latest version of adblock yet it seems to no longer be working.
I’m using Firefox.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
That’s not not exactly lots of information. Maybe ask for help in our forum? No registration necessary.

When will the “redesigned popup” look be available for firefox? I sometimes switch between chrome/firefox and their look is currently inconsistent. Personally, I like the counting added to chrome and would like to see this added to firefox as well.
Specifically, I’m looking at this feature/look for firefox: https://adblockplus.org/releases/adblock-plus-17-for-chrome-and-opera-released
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
This particular feature has been delayed while we are working on the new options page, the technical base for both features will be the same.
