Firefox 11 support?
I downloaded something else that looked like Adblockplus, and it said it would let “Acceptable Adds” through. What gives?
Block ‘em all.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
See https://adblockplus.org/en/acceptable-ads#optout.
Firefox 11 is extremely outdated, support for it is not coming back. Please have a look at the list of security vulnerabilities fixed since Firefox 11 and reconsider using it: http://www.mozilla.org/security/known-vulnerabilities/firefox.html.

If you are hanging on to FF 11, because you dont like all the problems with the new versions..
search for FireFox ESR – it is a lot better, and more old addons work.. :)
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Well, Firefox ESR currently means Firefox 24, that’s a lot better. We will try to continue supporting it for a while…

Tool bar Icon bug fixed in 2.4 release came back again in 2.4.1. It’s so annoying.

Yesterday my Firefox updated to version 27, and now everitime I open a new tab I always get a window to launch application. If I press ok, the file elemhide.css is opened on Notepad++.
I disabled the Element Hiding addon and I deleted the elemhide.css file, and I still get that window, but now no file is opened (because it does not exist).
Is this a known issue with AdBlock Plus? I’m using v2.4.1
This is very anoying!!
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
No, this is most certainly not an Adblock Plus issue even though I’m not sure what might be causing it. You might want to try disabling other extensions.
Pedro · 2014-02-06 10:20 · #
If I disable Adblock Plus I get rid of the issue…
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
That doesn’t mean that Adblock Plus is causing it… We’ve had plenty of people use Adblock Plus use Firefox 27 before it was released and didn’t get any such reports.

I disabled all addons except Adblock Plus and I still get that anoying window, so it should be something with this addon or with FF configuration

I found that when I was in the loop of getting several Launch Application window, the Firefox Plugin-Container process was consuming 1 of the processor cores, so I went to search for faulty plugin.
As I don’t have many, I quickly found that the culprit was
IE Tab 4.0.20130422 (not the add-on but the plugin):
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ie-tab/
When I disabled the plugin, I stopped seeing this weird and very annoying behavior.

the find button in the prefs has stopped working :(
FF27
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Yes, that’s a known issue – is being looked into.

also bringing back Groups would be nice for the custom filter list
to group normal rules, excluded rules and element hiding helper rules together
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
You can click “Add group” to add more groups, nothing changed there.

would prefer all rules on one page rather than switching between pages for different rules
