- Issue reporter now encourages users to enter an email address when submitting issue reports.
- Removed Do-Not-Track handling which is redundant with Firefox supporting it as well (blog post).

- Fixed: Context menu broken on background images in Firefox 20.

Still having issues with the blockable list items window. Most of the time it’s completely empty when having it Detached, and only showing its entries when making it Reattach.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Sounds like an entirely different issue from what was fixed, not something I can reproduce. Maybe try the forums and provide some information on what exactly you are doing and your configuration?

The linked website is just one of the places i am having problems. AdCoice pops up no matter if I have AdBLock on or not. I also have no right-click context menu to block their ads, nor anyone else. View Blockable Items, fails to show anything even contextually relevant 9 times out of 10. No matter the page Report Issues bugs out and times out 2/3s way through scanning and never completes either. Is this due to the work arounds mentioned for Firefox 18. I have updated, disabled, rebooted, re-enabled, rebooted, etc and nothing is changing.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
I have no issues on that site with Adblock Plus 2.2.2 and EasyList, everything is blocked and no popups. The blockable items / context menu issues should also be solved in Adblock Plus 2.2.2. So please use the forum – you will need to provide more information, not something that can be done in blog comments.
Removed this off-topic comment, as usually.

Please integrate Element hiding helper into ABP, I cant wait !
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Seriously, just because you have to install a second extension?
The part of Element Hiding Helper that we meant to integrate is currently broken – the Firefox Inspector API isn’t quite as stable as we expected. So we will need to fix this and wait for the new API to get stable. Only then we can integrate this functionality into Adblock Plus.

Yup, 2 in 1 ! Why not ?

This update is preventing Vine videos on Twitter.com from displaying (no such problem in the previous version).
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
It’s unlikely an issue with the update, rather something with the filters – see https://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started#false-positives. If you give me a link to one such tweet or (better) a link to your issue report then I can actually look into what went wrong. Then again, you could also use the forum and get a response faster.

Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Please see https://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started#subscription and ask in the forum if it doesn’t help you.

how do i get back clickable links in google searches?
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
Assuming that it has something to do with Adblock Plus – see https://adblockplus.org/en/getting_started#false-positives. If not, you might want to try https://support.mozilla.org/.

Greetings. Do you plan to digitally sign future releases? I (and an increasing number of other security-conscious users) do not install unsigned software, so I haven’t been able to update ABP in a long time.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
We stopped signing ABP due to Firefox issues related to signed extensions, especially https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=726125. Once Firefox versions before Firefox 18 have become sufficiently rare the releases should be signed again.

Thank you. In the interim, would you mind publishing the SHA256 and length of each release on an https page, so that we can manually verify a release’s integrity?
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
AMO already does that, Firefox verifies the hash automatically. View source on https://addons.mozilla.org/addon/adblock-plus/ and search for “data-hash” (there are multiple install buttons on that page but the first one always links to the current release).
nonesuch · 2013-02-12 17:56 · #
Very interesting. Do you know where this AMO feature is documented? I haven’t been able to find a discussion of it, except implicitly in the discussion of a fixed bug (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=345505 ). BTW, does Firefox also verify the addon’s length? If not, the hash can be spoofed by a length-extension attack.
Reply from Wladimir Palant:
See https://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Installing_Extensions_and_Themes_From_Web_Pages for the documentation. Length extension attacks are irrelevant due to the structure of the file, any data appended to a ZIP archive is ignored.

Since i updated firefox to 18.0.2 and this version of adblock plus. I don’t see de button ‘adBlock: Block image’when rightclicking on ads, pictures, actually everything.
When i delete adblock plus and download it again, it shows the button, but when closing firefox and opening it again, it’s gone again. Can you fix this or is it something else?
Nl · 2013-02-14 00:47 · #
I whined to soon. Known issues helped me with this. Disable adblock plus and immediatly enable.
Still thanks.
