Note that while Firefox 1.5, Thunderbird 1.5 and SeaMonkey 1.0 are still supported, these applications receive less testing and it is recommended to upgrade to at least Firefox 2.0, Thunderbird 1.5 or SeaMonkey 1.1. Support for older versions will likely be dropped in a few months.

- Fixed the bug that emptied the filter list in some very rare cases
- Fixed a few minor issues with Adblock Plus 0.7.5

- Mac OS X: Flash movies might not be displayed properly if “Show tabs on Flash and Java” option is switched on

I have just installed .7.5.1 and it toasted firefox. I couldn’t restart it because I got a segmentation fault. So, I removed the files for the extension and restarted it. Now I just want to get .7.5 instead. I did try reinstalling it, but it wouldn’t work the next time either.
I am using xubuntu 7.04. I only have two other extensions, permit cookies and foxmarks

Segmentation fault? Not exactly something an extension can possibly cause. You should send a Talkback report. As to old versions, they are available here: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addons/versions/1865. Make sure to read the warning.

Hey i just wanna say that this add-on really ownz alot! Its really great that you update it sometimes … I have installed it on all of my friends computers :) Btw i get no errors and it works perfect since the day i installed it.Thank You Ad Block for making it so simple and easy!

Do you have a bead on that OS X issue that’s listed above? I’ve had to turn off my adblock tabs as a result of that issue and miss them dearly. :)

Sad to say that I have the exact same case as Nathaniel. I am using xubuntu 7.04 and my firefox crash too when installed abp 0.7.5.1. The problem gone after I manually remove this extension.
Hopefully you can tell what is causing the crash. Btw, I love abp, great extension!

I get this messge in addons after Firefox and computer restart….. :(

the thing that youve said is fixed the very RARE occurance that the filter list gets emptied happened to me i cleared my firefox cache and bam load it up and realized that all my filter subxcriptions are gone plz work harder on this i mean this is hands down the best firefox addon available TY!

This update installed fine for me on XP w/latest stable release of FF. I’m seeing some odd behavior, however. I have a subscription to a ruleset that I created that has exceptions for my own domains so that I can be sure AdSense (etc) is working properly. It has rules like this:
@@|http://scottj.info/
But element matching rules from another subscription are overriding in come cases, and preventing AdSense from being displayed on my site:
#div(id=ads)
Is there no way to change the order of these operations? From what I’m seeing here, my exception rule is having an effect, but the more specific rule that is executed later is overriding it. This is a pain in my ass today. ;)

That works for now, but I really do think that this is a bug that should be fixed. Either that or a special type of Element whitelist should be allowed in the rules.

Adblock Plus the first thing I install on every machine I work with :)
But…
Some website start to use JavaScript against Adblock (http://drago-sim.com/).
Deactivating JavaScript is not an Option because JavaScript is needed on some of those websites.
I tried to block the script #script(defer=“defer”) but that doesn’t seem to work.
Is it possible to block JavaScript functions on function level?

No, Adblock Plus will never work with Internet Explorer – Internet Explorer extensions are very different from Firefox extensions and rewriting Adblock Plus would take months (full-time, and even then it will be an inferior solution).
