it should also block spyware and adware

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

How do you define “spyware” and “adware” – how should Adblock Plus recognize that it should be blocked? And what exactly are you expecting Adblock Plus to do, block downloads initiated by the user if they are “spyware”? Because the only way to get spyware with Firefox that I know of is downloading and installing it.

“Because the only way to get spyware with Firefox that I know of is downloading and installing it.”

I agree, but i wanna add this:
It’s very important to update all plugins that Firefox uses: about:plugins
and sure also update Firefox when new version comes. Some of those holes can be bad.

could not work with google notebook!
    configuration: xp + firefox2.0.0.1 + Adblock Plus 0.7.2.4
    any clue? Thanks.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

I just tried Google Notebook 1.0.0.14 and everything seems to work fine. Can you give a detailed description of what is not working as it should? You write that you are using Firefox 2.0.0.1 but please check this again – there was a bug in Firefox 2.0 that made Adblock Plus and Google Notebook extension not work together.
