Adblock Plus and (a little) more

A new Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3+ development build (2008010423) has been uploaded. This version now supports Songbird 0.4, support for older Songbird versions has been dropped. I intend to continue supporting the most recent stable version only until the Songbird UI stabilizes/matures.

Changes

• Support for Songbird 0.4 added, now almost everything should work like in Firefox
• Songbird 0.2/0.3 support dropped
• Fixed filter editing issues caused by landing of bug 398135
• Fixed: input focus not put back to the filter list after editing a list (Minefield only)
• Fixed: The entry “No blockable items on current page” in the list of filter suggestions should not be selectable
• Support for Moblin browser added — untested

Known issues

• Context menu doesn’t always show up in Songbird, consequently not all items can be blocked via context menu (list of blockable items works however)
• Status bar icon doesn’t react to clicks (Songbird bug 6719)

   Yea, don’t worry about backward compatibility for awhile. We’re still in flux for what our overlay targets are.

   Dear Friends,
   I have Songbird/0.5 (20080325224324)(2008022917) and if I try to install Adblock Plus from your web site I get this message:
   Adblock Plus 0.7.5.3 could not be installed because it is not compatible with Songbird 0.5.
