Adblock Plus and (a little) more

We have released development build 1.5.855 of Adblock Plus for Internet Explorer. The most important change in this version is the change to the element hiding functionality. As of this version on IE10+ the element hiding will be done in a similar way as in our other extensions. Namely we are switching to CSS injection for element hiding, instead of a custom DOM traverser. This change was necessary since IE does not provide us any event to listen to for triggering the DOM traversing. We expect that this change alone should fix a lot of bugs that are related to element hiding. Like 1642 or 4383. Since this is a big change we currently have it in a branch in our repository. We would like to merge it to the master if the testing of this devbuild does not reveal anything extraordinary.

Besides this we have also made improvements to the traverser itself and fixed other bugs. You can see the full list of changes planned to be included in the next release here.
