Adblock Plus and (a little) more

There are always interesting things to find in the server logs. This time I noticed that a few people coming to adblockplus.org were searching for “plus.de”. I tried it and – wow, Adblock Plus is the second search result after the actual plus.de. And if you only search for plus Adblock Plus comes up on the places 22 (AMO) and 36 (adblockplus.org), for such a generic term this isn’t bad either.

   However, this only is true for the english version of google. When searching for plus.de on google.de, ABP is nowhere to be found.

   Funny nevertheless.

   Yes, google.de generally ranks adblockplus.org lower, for whatever reasons – I don’t know whether there is a system in this. But searching for “plus” on google.de still brings up Adblock Plus as number 19 (erweiterungen.de) and 31 (adblockplus.org).

   Well, I guess we have to admit that adblockplus.org is not very relevant when searching for plus.de ;-)
