Adblock Plus and (a little) more

There’s been a flurry of news recently around Chrome and the future of ad blocking. On paper, this seems to be bad news for Adblock Plus (and all the other ad blockers). However, Adblock Plus is making sure that ABP for Chrome continues to be a great product.
To sum it up, Google is toying with the idea of altering a key API that allows for content blocking.
The idea behind Google’s plan is to “improve the security and privacy” of extensions. This makes sense on some levels, but not on all of them.
If it is indeed supposed to be about user security, there must be a solution that doesn’t cripple ad blocking. Given that this plan from Google is only a plan for now, and the fact they’ve racked up some pretty hefty opposition already, it might mean that nothing happens, or that it is changed a lot before release.
Rest assured that Adblock Plus is working with all concerned parties to make any necessary technical adjustments, so that ABP for Chrome continues to be a great product.

How high would the rule limit have to be for your average Adblock Plus user?

I recently found out about your browser application and installed it. I want to thank you for that. Now I have less advertising on sites that I often visit. I try to visit only those sites where there are no advertisements that are useful to me, such as an coursework writing service , which I visit very often, especially at the end of the school year, when the university is given many tasks. But there are sites on which a lot of advertising. I have not visited them before, but now I have these sites open without ads. This is just incredible.

In my opinion, Google Chrome can not block all ads

No, Chrome doesn’t, which is why we are in discussions with the other ad blockers to come up with a better plan.
