Adblock Plus and (a little) more

As some of you might have noticed, we have launched the Adblock Plus Creative Challenge. This is a video contest, where filmmakers have to shoot an “anti-ad”.
We believe that our product needs a viral factor. We need something that will spread all over the Web and deliver our philosophy to more casual Internet users, and will not only promote our extension, but also make people understand that something is going wrong with the modern online advertising industry. ABP community consists of many different kinds of people, and we want to ask our most creative users, as well as other filmmakers to shoot a short “anti-ad” – a 30-90 second video that will show all the annoyances and disruptiveness of online ads.
We will collect submissions till the end of May, and after that videos will be judged by the board of film-industry professionals, as well as by our community (hey, that’s you!).

Haven’t I told you what would happen when Wladimir announced that he would cooperate with commercial partners ? That ABP development would die dry.
I got a lot of chuckle and laughs back then, and see where we are today ! Exactly ! A DEAD product !
