Adblock Plus and (a little) more

Element Hiding Helper 1.3.10 for Adblock Plus released · 2016-10-25 12:39 by Wladimir Palant

Install Element Hiding Helper 1.3.10 for Adblock Plus

This release makes Element Hiding Helper compatible with the just released Adblock Plus 2.8 (issue 4536). In addition, it fixes the “View source in a separate window” command which broke in recent Firefox versions (issue 4398) and fixes the Element Hiding Helper button in Inspector panel which was no longer working in the Firefox nightly builds (issue 4533).

Any plans to finally incorporate Element Hiding Helper into ABP so only one plugin is necessary?

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

In theory – yes, we would like to have the Inspector panel button in Adblock Plus itself. In practice however, the DevTools integration is still far from stable. I hope that this will change with Mozilla’s Web Extensions effort…

I tried installing this via https://update.adblockplus.org/latest/elemhidehelper.xpi as well as via the mozilla add-ons website and in both cases i t installs v1.3.9 and not v1.3.10.

Latest stable Firefox x86 for Windows 10.

Mozilla didn’t review it yet, it will take a bit longer unfortunately. Installing from our server is generally a bad idea since these builds aren’t signed and won’t install in current Firefox versions.
