Thanks for your ongoing work on this new version 2 of the ABP extension. I am sure I echo the sentiments of many people when I say we all appreciate it and we look forward to getting back the functionality of the previous .safariextz version (element hiding, custom rules and custom list sources).

It is a testament to how useful and effective ABP has been, and how used to it we have become, that we all suddenly miss having its full functionality now that you’ve been forced to quickly respond to Apple’s ditching of the canLoad API and forcing the CB API on everyone in Safari 12. I for one appreciate your quick reaction to that by getting this new version out the door with basic functionalty to keep things ticking over.

I just wanted to write this so you all know some people do recognise the work you’re doing behind the scenes and appreciate it, as I am sure you’re fielding a lot of misplaced anger from some people at the moment. Please pass the regards on to your team.

    Cheers,
    Chris

Rule list compilation failed: A list cannot have if-domain and unless-domain mixed with if-top-url and unless-top-url

I keep getting this when I switch on, and on most pages the adds are still there taking up about 40% of the page.
Also, I’m on iMac and can’t get move it to the Extension folder.
I’ll try this update to see if it solves some of these problems

    thanks

    AF

That does sound like you are running the old legacy version of ABP. Upgrading to the version in the Mac App Store will resolve this error.

Any update on this? This app is donkey shit on youtube and just generally runs really slowly everywhere

    Reply from Dean Murphy:

We’re working on a fix to the performance issues, which should be released soon.
