Why, just starting today, do I start getting ads assoc w/my email?

How can I completely, totally and permanently block every ad on chrome?

You done great so far, just now…not so much.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

You didn’t really give me much to go on. Maybe try the forum and describe the issue in more detail there (which website, what ads, what filter list is active in Adblock Plus options, Chrome version etc)?

Will Adblock for Opera 1.4 be released any time soon?
“We plan to release Adblock Plus for Opera and Chrome from a common code base in future, the releases will be published simultaneously.”

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

Unfortunately, building Chrome and Opera extensions from the same codebase is still not done. I would like to publish Adblock Plus 1.4 for Opera as well, not quite there yet however :-(

После обновления chromа программа вобще перестала работать и отображаться в верхнем правом углу. Также и перестали создаваться фильтры. В чем дело?

I just started using adblock, now i can’t surf without it. My husband, for some reason, loves Internet Explorer. I really need that adblock for IE.

I’m not sure if it is related to the new release, but in the last couple of weeks, the ABP no longer blocks the commercials during the online viewing of shows at network websites such as fox.com, abc/cbs/Discovery?/USA network, etc.

Hope this functionality is restored. It was such a nice feature to watch these shows close to their recording length of 43 minutes instead of the hour it is with full commercials.

I’m using Chrome and like this Extension of yours. It is version 1.4, but the timing of the upgrade seems to be when the commercials started playing instead of being skipped over as in the past.

    Thank you

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

No, it isn’t related to the release but rather the filters used by Adblock Plus. You are most likely using EasyList, you can report issues in their forum: http://forums.lanik.us/.

When I go to add the extension of adblock plus for chrome, i get a message stating that it gives you access to my data on all websites and access to my tabs and browsing activity. What does this mean? What information do you gather if any? What do you do with this information if you gather it?

    Reply from Felix H. Dahlke:

We cannot really block anything if we don’t know what sites you visit, so there’s no way around that.

But that’s just happening in your browser, we cannot see any of that data. See our privacy policy for more details:

I’m not sure if it is related to the new release, but in the last week, the ABP no longer works on cbs.com. When using ABP on cbs.com you get the message “The video you have requested is either unavailable or is being blocked by an ad blocker installed in your browser.” When you disable the ABP the video play normally, but with all the annoying commercials.

Why the version of abp firefox is contain more option than the version of chrome for example :
    1) the resource monitor (open blockable items-see the filter that bloque the item)
    2) see the content of every filter
    3) count filter hits

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

The Firefox version is simply more advanced, we have been working on it for the past seven years. Chrome version is relatively new and we are still working on adding all the features there.

How can I block an image in chrome (android )? There is no such thing as right click there. If I touch and hold the image, there comes a contextual menu offering to save or open image etc., but no option to block it. Thanks.

    Reply from Wladimir Palant:

I think your first problem is: Chrome for Android currently doesn’t support extensions. So you cannot install Adblock Plus in the browser. And while the Adblock Plus for Android app can block stuff, it cannot offer any browser integration. We are looking into ways to allow customization beyond predefined subscriptions in the Android app but we aren’t there yet.
