This release introduces the ability to disable Adblock Plus on individual web pages which used to only be possible to do across entire websites. It also makes various improvements for snippet filters.

User interface changes

• Icon popup: Added ability to whitelist individual pages (ui#499).
• Settings page
  • Extract domain from URL when whitelisting a website (ui#247).
  • Prevent users from adding filter lists from unsupported URLs (ui#414, ui#450).
  • Refreshed design (ui#483).
• Issue reporter: Added link for reporting other issues (ui#424).
• Removed notification for recommending filter list that hides offending messages (webext#99, core#97).
• Updated extension description (ui#597).
• Fixed: Don’t focus first-run page when shown due to data corruption (webext#110).
• Fixed: Keep number of blocked requests in icon popup updated while it’s open (ui#634, webext#95).

Filter changes

• Snippet changes
  • Added TensorFlow.js and a first ML-based snippet ml-hide-if-graph-matches (core#25, core#98, webext#104).
  • Provided a debug flag to any snippet (core#71).
  • Added relevant debugging info to abort-on-property-read/write (core#101).
  • Fixed: Avoid global scope conflicts and rewrites (core#86).

This release includes various improvements for the settings page and the extension popup. It also drops support for legacy browsers such as Chrome 51 or Opera 38 and below, plus it fixes notifications for Opera browser.

Overall improvements

• Settings page
  • Improved filters list management (ui#438).
  • It is now possible to rate our extension (ui#370).
  • Added link to help center (ui#276).
  • Users can now provide feedback to us on Acceptable Ads when they opt-out (ui#375).
  • Added button to the settings page to select from a list of recommended filter lists (ui#129).
• Popup
  • Enabling/disabling ad blocking on a website can now be undone without having to close the icon popup or refresh the page (ui#3).
  • Notifications can now bring you directly to the settings page (webext#34).
• Issue reporter
  • Added option for attaching further information to issue reports (ui#152).
• Other improvements
  • Added new page to show new users what else they can do with Adblock Plus (ui#378).
  • Optimized existing font and added fonts for Arabic and Thai languages (ui#115).

Other changes

• Dropped support for Chrome 51 (respectively Opera 38) and below (webext#56, webext#81).

Opera-only changes

• Fixed: Links in notifications did not work on Opera (webext#60).

This release includes various user interface improvements around managing custom filters, such as the ability to disable individual filters, as well as further performance and stability improvements. It also removes support for the $collapse and $object-subrequest filter options as well as for filter lists that are served over unencrypted HTTP.
